Marian Carter is a designer and artist who graduated from Middlesex University in the early 80’s. She has worked for a number of companies and on her own in a range of areas such as book illustration, card design and printmaking.
She uses a range of techniques to produce original prints which are mostly collagraphs, but also some etchings, linocuts and drypoints. Her inspiration comes from a wide variety of sources, but she is particularly drawn to wildlife.
Marian is married and lives in the Chiltern Hills in Buckinghamshire with her husband. She has two daughters: one has just graduated from Manchester School of Art where she studied fashion design and the other is studying fine art at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London.
